Makeup Tips for a Disney Day
May 15, 2015
If you’re spending all day at one of our wonderful theme parks in Orlando, we want to help you look flawless all day! Choosing your makeup products carefully can mean the difference between loving all your vacation pictures or only loving the ones taken in the first two hours in the theme park. You know how it goes: the skin gets oily, lipsticks wears off, mascara will run and eye shadow will crease. That is type of nightmare we want to try to help you avoid. So, please allow us to share with you some of the products that we know are reliable and will leave you beautiful all day:
Lightweight Sunscreen: This moisturizer with sunscreen is formulated for acne-prone skin, so it won’t clog your pores. It is not tinted, so we suggest topping it off with a powder foundation. But if you need more coverage, you can mix it with a small amount of your favorite liquid foundation. Just remember to not go too heavy. The heat in Florida will make even the most long-lasting foundation melt, so less is more!
Concealer: To correct any under-eye bags or acne marks apply this Mac Pro Longwear concealer in a shade that matches your skin. You will get some coverage without having to cover up your entire face with heavier products.
Foundation: We suggest just topping your sunscreen with a powder foundation like this Bare Minerals one. Make sure you let the sunscreen dry on your face before applying this powder, or you will end up with an uneven cakey look. This foundation is light coverage and will set your concealer and cover up the shine from the sunscreen!
Waterproof Mascara: You do not want mascara running all over your face after you leave a thrilling water ride. Cover your bases and go waterproof!
Lip: Go light and apply a tinted lip balm that will keep your lips hydrated and it’s easy to reapply without a mirror! If you don’t have oily skin, it can even double as a cream blush!
